Aqua HIIT Port Douglas

Aqua HIIT takes the popular High-Intensity Interval Training to the pool!

 

Enjoying an exercise class in the pool provides greater resistance but less impact on the joints. This combination will improve your fitness, strength and flexibility and is the perfect addition to your weekly workout plan.

Aqua HIIT is a half hour high intensity exercise in the shallow end of the pool. Exercise include but are not limited to running on the spot, high knee jumps, side kicks, vertical kicking, push ups and mermaids. These exercises are done for a set amount of time followed by a short rest and the aim of the game is to get your heart rate up as high as possible in each workout. By upping and downing your heart rate during the 30 minute workout you will feel the benefits of your hard work for hours after!

 

Aqua HIIT can be done in swimwear or active wear, just make sure it stays on when jumping or running on the spot in the pool.

Aqua HIIT is held on Wednesdays and Fridays from 7.30 - 8.00am at the Oaks Resort Lap Pool on Port Douglas Road.
