The 20-Week Online Training Program starts on 29 January 2023 and includes 3 weekly training sessions, presented online so you can train in your own time and local pool. After each session you will answer a few questions so you look back at your improvements over the 20 weeks.

About Coach Irene
I have been a swimmer all my life and after moving to Australia from the Netherlands it was a natural move for me to get into ocean swimming and triathlons. Training outside in beautiful Far North Queensland, what's not to love!
Of course, there was the slight issue of not being a great runner and cyclist, but with the help of an awesome coach, I tackled these issues and completed the Cairns 70.3 in 2014 and 2015.
Especially the first one was a very new and special experience for me, and with the help of my coach and team buddies I loved every second of it. The tears ran down my face when I crossed the finish line, I just could not believe I was capable of finishing a massive race like the Cairns 70.3!
It is now my passion to coach others to smash their Ironman or 70.3 race. I still love competing in long-distance races and ocean swims myself, like the Magnetic Island to Townsville Swim, Lake Barrine Bash, Noosa Ocean Swim and I have just recently completed my first Coolangatta Gold... individual long-course to be precise. Again I totally surprised myself with being able to complete such an iconic race. I would love for you to feel those same feels!
While getting involved in the world of triathlons I had more and more people ask me if I could help them with their swimming. 'You make it look so easy and effortless, I want to swim like you. Could you please help me?'. Of course!
I noticed that the sport of triathlon presents a challenge for most adults getting into it, the swim leg! Besides (school) swimming lessons as a child, they've never learned this skill which is pretty necessary to complete a triathlon of any size.
So back in 2015 I started Swimfit with the goal to help as many adults on their journey to complete a triathlon or ocean swim and master the art of freestyle to get there.
Over the last 8+ years I have coached 100's of people to finish their first triathlon, Ironman, 70.3 or Ocean Swim.
Every person is different but I have learned along the way that there are a few basic fundamentals that, if performed correctly, quickly help you to become an efficient and confident swimmer.

"I've always trained for swimming on my own, having tried a few swim programs in the past, paid a fortune, and simply been given an enormous list of generic drills and over-complicated technical things to work on - as an age group triathlete aiming for open-water swims, this wasn't for me.
I was impressed with the way Irene explained the purpose of each drill (no more time-wasting drills!), and gave simple, fundamental advice to fix my swim stroke with maximum yield.
