Port Douglas Swimfit Retreat

Treat yourself to a Luxury Swimfit Retreat at the iconic Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort in Port Douglas.

Based on the 'Foundations of Freestyle', you will learn how to become a better and faster swimmer while soaking up the relaxing and tropical surroundings here in Far North Queensland.

We kick the weekend off on Friday evening, giving you enough time to make your way to Port Douglas. While you enjoy a delicious 3-Course Dinner, Coach Irene will present to you the 'Foundations of Freestyle'. This is also a wonderful opportunity to get to know your fellow swimmers on the retreat.

Start your Saturday morning in a relaxing way and make most of the Full Buffet Breakfast. We will then make our way to the Mirage Country Club (across the street) for your Video Analysis. Coach Irene will video you from above and underwater and analyse your stroke following the 'Foundations of Freestyle'.

Over lunch you will have time to relax or explore Port Douglas. Make most of your weekend up here!

After you've had time to relax and process your analysis we will jump back in the pool for an afternoon technique session. This is where you will learn the drills and exercises to improve your stroke.

On Saturday night you are invited to join the optional Group Dinner at one of my favourite restaurants in Port Douglas. 

Sunday we start with an awesome training session. This is an opportunity to practice what you've learned over the weekend and I will give you tips and feedback.

Coffee and breakfast taste so much better after a good swim session! We'll enjoy a group breakfast at the Sheraton Buffet, while Coach Irene will talk to you about how to train for your goals. This is also your chance to get answers to any swimming-related questions.

We will wrap the Swimfit Retreat up at about 11am on Sunday, leaving you time to either make your way back home or enjoy some extra time in Port Douglas.

  • You will leave this weekend knowing exactly what to improve and how to do this.

  • You will feel relaxed and re-energised after spending 2 nights at the beautiful Sheraton Port Douglas.
